From Our Farm

California Mid-Winter Fair: Feb 28 to Mar 16

There's somethin' special about fair season. It's that time of year when folks from all over come together to celebrate the heart and soul of our community – the farmers, the ranchers, and the young folks who are carrying on those traditions. Fairs like the one coming up in Imperial Valley in just a few weeks are more than just a fun day out; they're a way of life, a chance to show off the hard work and dedication that goes into keeping our land thriving.

Now, one of the best things about these fairs is seeing those 4-H and FFA kids shine. These youngsters are the future of our farms and ranches, and the way they put their heart and soul into their projects is something to behold. Whether they're showing off their prize-winning livestock or sharing their knowledge about crops and farming, it's clear they're passionate about what they do. And that's somethin' worth celebrating.

The 4-H and FFA programs are doing a mighty fine job of raising up the next generation of farmers and ranchers. They're teaching these kids the importance of responsibility, teamwork, and respect for the land – values that have always been at the heart of our community. And by givin' them hands-on experience with animals, crops, and all things agriculture, they're makin' sure those traditions get passed down to the next generation.

Here at Tom's Hay Farm, we've always been proud to support our 4-H and FFA youngsters. We know they're the future of agriculture, and we want to do our part to help them succeed. That's why we work closely with the leaders and students, making sure they have the information, feed, supplements, and anything else they need to shine at the fair. We're all about helping these kids grow into the best darn farmers and ranchers they can be, and we're honored to be a part of their journey.
